What An Amazing Gift!
FOCS food bank was the recipient of $30,000 from the Corder Foundation. Chuck Mikola, a foundation board member, had a dream of asking the community to donate money which in turn would be doubled by the foundation. That dream turned into a donation to the food bank that more than doubled the collected amount. Our appreciation of the Loren Corder Foundation and all individual and business donors is still celebrated as we realize how fortunate our food bank is. In addition to stocking our shelves with food items, we were able to purchase shelving for more storage. A volunteer work party moved, cleaned and rearranged the space to make it user friendly. Thank you to Debbie Patana, Jane Reese, Tom Satterwhite, Kathy Whiteman, Jim Kirsh, Jim Engel, Sheila and Jerry Cox, Megan Feil, and IHS senior, Jack Marshman. Also, a big shout out to Brad Wilson for his research of shelving and his masterful carpentry skills.
THANK YOU TO OUR FAITHFUL VOLUNTEERS!
